The Greenbrier Resort

Helen Croghan The Greenbrier Resort

One of my favorite trips in 2011 was to The Greenbrier Resort, a National Historic Landmark in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. It is worth the drive to the incredible Allegheny Mountains!  For three days in early September, I attended the NC Realtors 2011 Convention and Expo for continuing education classes, networking and relaxation! #NCARCONV.

While on a late afternoon walk, I caught a glimpse of sun rays dancing on the Green Dome structure with white columns.  And when I got to the center of the architecture, I could see the cool springs of healing sulphur water beneath a clear glass plate.  I learned that Twenty-six Presidents have stayed here over the years as it was a short distance by train from Washington, DC.   The golf, mountains, spa and shopping will have me coming back again!
